DR. MARCO CAPECE

My mission is to offer competent and compassionate support, accompanying my patients through every phase of their treatment journey, whether dealing with more benign and easily manageable conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia or facing more significant and life-impacting diseases.

My name is Marco Capece, and I specialized in Urology and Andrology at the University of Naples Federico II. My career has always been driven by a deep passion for Andrology and reconstructive surgery of the male genital apparatus, a path I decided to pursue from the beginning of my studies in Medicine and Surgery.

SPECIALIZATIONS AND ACTIVITIES

I had the opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge by spending training periods at prestigious international institutions. I began my journey at the Universitätsklinikum in Bonn, Germany, and then continued at the University College London Hospital in London. These experiences allowed me to delve into complex pathologies such as male infertility and erectile dysfunction, and to refine my skills through a two-year fellowship at the University College London Hospital.

During my time in London, I dedicated myself to basic and clinical research on Peyronie’s disease and Erectile Dysfunction. I acquired skills in plaque surgery and penile prosthesis implantation, starting with malleable and then moving to three-component prostheses, thereby expanding my ability to offer effective and innovative solutions to my patients.

Today, my practice also focuses on reconstructive plastic surgery of the male genital apparatus post-demolition surgery for penile cancer or other conditions such as lichen sclerosus. I also deal with urethral pathologies and complex urethral surgeries, as well as the medical and surgical treatment of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, urogenital neoplasms, and male infertility.

Currently, I am pleased to serve as an international tutor for penile prosthesis implantation, as this drives me to stay constantly updated on the most advanced techniques to ensure an excellent therapeutic approach.
