The procedure involves making a transverse incision of the frenulum, which results in its extension, followed by the application of stitches. In most cases, the stitches used are absorptive, meaning they will dissolve on their own in about three weeks. During this time, it is advisable to refrain from both sexual intercourse and masturbation.
